Ron G. Crane was born in Nampa, Idaho. He is a graduate of Nampa Christian High School and later graduated from college with an Associate's Degree. He received an honorary doctorate from Ohio Christian University in 2008. He served as a member in the Idaho National Guard from 1971 -- 1977, receiving recognition as Idaho's Soldier of the Year in 1975.

A long time and active member of the Treasurer Valley, Carolyn Holly currently serves as Vice President of Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations for Saint Alphonsus Health System. Within the new role, Carolyn serves as a key liaison to the communities that Saint Alphonsus serves. She is an instrumental part of developing meaningful relationships with local resources and organizations, evolving a strategy for public collaboration, and advancing Saint Alphonsus' mission to be a transformative healing presence within the community.

Carolyn enjoyed a 33 year career at KTVB Channel 7 television, where she became one of Idaho's most experienced and best known television personalities. Carolyn has acted as an important representative and volunteer for many Treasurer Valley organizations including Boise Public Schools Foundation, Idaho Youth Sports Commission, the Saint Alphonsus Foundation, FUNDSY and the FACES Foundation.

Keynote Speakers

Jesse Cottle was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. In July 2009, during his fourth combat deployment, he stepped on an undetected IED and lost both of his legs to the explosion. During his recovery in San Diego, he met Kelly, a former Boise State swimmer, and the two were married in August of 2012. A year later a photo of the couple went "viral" and they were able to share their story with the world. Their hope now is to continue to share their story and their own challenges to encourage others who might need it.

Nicole is passionate about people and as such was nominated for the Columbia Bank “Excellence in Leadership Award”, the highly regarded W.W. Philip Award and was formerly named only 1 of 4 women to the “Top 40 Under Forty” Business Executives by Utah Business Magazine as well as being named as a “Top 20 Under Forty Rising Star” by the Inland NW Catalyst Magazine.
She currently serves as a top-rated Faculty Member for Pacific Coast Banking Graduate School at University of Washington and serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for United Way of Pierce County.

Mercedes Garcia is Vice President, Senior Business Leader Global Community Relations, responsible for developing relations with consumers, merchants, labor organizations, consumer advocacy groups and governments through MasterCard’s public education campaign, the “Master Your Card (MYC) Program,” which is designed to help these constituents leverage the electronic payment network.

Ms. Garcia is actively involved with key women’s organizations, on behalf of the MYC Program, serving in the roles as keynote speaker and panelist to delivering workshops. Annually, Ms. Garcia participates in national women’s conferences with organizations like the League of United Latin American Citizens’ (LULAC), the National Association of Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO), the Association of Women Business Centers (AWBC), the Urban League of Southern Connecticut’s Women’s Empowerment Summit, Idaho Treasurer Crane’s Smart Women-Smart Money Literacy Day, Texas Governor’s Conference for Women, and Virginia Senator Mark Warner’s Annual Women’s Conference.

Ms. Garcia has also been recognized by various organizations. Most recently by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce receiving the “2015 Women Empowering and Embracing Women” Award; and, by the New York Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “2016 Annual Hispanic Women in Business” Award, which honors the commitment of exceptional Hispanic Women.

For several years, she has also acted as MasterCard’s spokesperson for consumer education programs targeting Hispanics and other underserved segments, and helped not only in the development of the educational programs, marketing and training materials, but also by personally conducting training sessions reaching thousands of people throughout the U.S.

Ms. Garcia joined MasterCard in 1994 to open the Venezuela office. She moved to the company’s headquarters in Purchase, N.Y., in 1998 to join the Global Product Group, supporting the development and global rollout of various MasterCard payment card programs in various regions.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Ms. Garcia developed an extensive marketing and advertising background for 10+ years at J. Walter Thompson, one of the leading multinational advertising agencies. Ms. Garcia is native of Venezuela, speaks several languages and has a Business Administration and Hotel Management degree from the Mexican Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Mexico City.

Britteny Gardner moved to Idaho when she was two years old. She was raised on a sheep and alpaca farm in Meridian where she participated in 4H, county fairs and helped raise and care for the animals. Her work ethic and drive stemmed from responsibilities had during her childhood and young adult years. Gardner graduated from Meridian High School as Student Body President and earned a degree from Boise State University in Marketing. She worked her way through college, while balancing her career as a Credit Manager at Wells Fargo where she helped individuals manage personal finance and restructure debt.
Gardner’s passion for money management was obvious even at a young age. She kept a tin filled with birthday savings and would count it every night. Now, ten years into her career, she is a Program Consultant for Wells Fargo. She provides classes to businesses and schools throughout southern Idaho to increase financial literacy. She loves to build relationships that help individuals achieve their financial goals. Gardner finds satisfaction in the look on someone’s face when they have an “ah-ha” moment while she is facilitating a financial presentation. Those who have met Gardner know her enthusiasm and passion for life is contagious.
Gardner currently serves as the Vice President of the West Ada Education Foundation where she helps raise funds for programs that are not supported by public tax revenues. As a mother of three young boys, education is extremely important to her, and she loves being able to make a difference in our community.

Colonel James Heuring is currently assigned as the Director of Staff, Idaho Air National Guard, Gowen Field, Boise, ID.

As Director of Staff, Colonel Heuring serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General and Assistant Adjutant General for Air on matters that concern the US Air Force and the Idaho Air National Guard. Colonel Heuring is the Chief Executive Officer responsible for the diversified functions including Logistics, Information Systems, Manpower and Personnel, Public Affairs, Recruiting and Retention, 266th Range Squadron, and medical and State emergency responses. He coordinates with the Idaho Army National Guard senior leadership on joint programs and activities within the State of Idaho. He also coordinates special Air National Guard programs and initiatives such as Diversity, Family Support, Employer Support, and State Partnership Program. Colonel Heuring oversees the development, execution, and evaluation of programs and policies pertaining to the command, control, and operation of the Idaho Air National Guard.

Colonel Heuring received his commission through the Academy of Military Science in December 1986 upon completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Colonel Heuring previously served as an Air Combat Navigator in the RF-4C, F-4G and C-130 aircraft with over 1700 flying hours including sorties supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Provide Comfort, and Operation Southern Watch. In 2012, Colonel Heuring deployed with his Squadron to Afghanistan and successfully commanded the 455th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron for 6 months. His previous command positions include 7 years as the Wing Comptroller and 6 years as the Civil Engineer Squadron Commander for the 124th Fighter Wing, Boise, Idaho.

She is actively involved in her parish, St. Mary of the Mount, where she chairs the financial council.
